Independence Excavating was contracted to crush a stockpile of approximately 100,000 tons of demolished concrete material from an old steel mill into ODOT 304 and #1/#2 aggregates. This project proved to be challenging, as the concrete used in the construction of steel mills from that era had various reinforcing steel and other materials that were difficult to process and crush. Our team finished this project early and under budget, thanks to our versatile equipment, knowledgeable operators, and meticulous project team.
