The IX team is performing the excavation, concrete encasement, and backfill of over 8,200 LF of electric duct bank for Phase 1 of the new East Coast Headquarters for Centene Corporation.  We mobilized to Charlotte, North Carolina in March 2021 to begin work, walking onto an extraordinarily fast-paced and logistically complex building site.  Due to the accelerated schedule, concrete work had already progressed vertically by the time electrical underground work had started, requiring the IX team to sometimes work underneath overhead floor decks.  The tight working conditions and lingering supply chain issues caused by the pandemic meant that the field team needed to constantly adapt their work plan to keep moving productively.   

In spite of these challenges, IX completed work on time, keeping the project on target for successful completion.
