The intersection of Interstate 271 and Harvard Road in the Village of Orange is undergoing a dramatic transformation into a
state-of-the-art, pedestrian- friendly retail and entertainment district. Performing earthwork and demolition for Independence Construction, Independence Excavating (IX) is pleased to be at the forefront of this redevelopment.
IX has erased all traces of the former Pinecrest Drive by demolishing multiple residential structures, concrete roadways and existing utilities. Another highlight of this initial phase is the construction of a 60,000 square foot decorative retaining wall on the east side of the work site to separate the new development from existing residences. Work will progress through the winter months as we begin installation of new utilities. In total, approximately 400,000 cubic yards of dirt needs to be moved in order to make the site pad ready for construction of the new buildings.
Independence Excavating is excited to be working with Independence Construction as well as the Village of Orange to bring a
successful new development to the city!
