President's Message

Safe and happy New Year! I’d like to thank the entire Independence Excavating team for your constant awareness and diligent effort to work safely. We completed 2012 without a single loss time injury. Our safety director, Tom Steblinski sent a congratulatory email shortly after the ball dropped in Times Square informing management of this great accomplishment. A special thank you to our safety team: Tom Steblinski, Frank Berzansky, Eric Sears and Victoria Scafaro as they continue to do their best to keep us safe.

Congratulations to all our employees who have adopted the culture of zero tolerance for accidents and injuries despite the challenging and high risk work we perform. We are given opportunities to work for great clients on great projects due to our commitment to safety, and for that we should all be very proud. As a member of the management team for Independence Excavating, I promise we will continue to do our very best to train, educate and provide the latest equipment available to continue to be on the cutting edge with our safety program.

The DiGeronimo family believes this is one of the highest and most recognizable milestones in our history. We are so proud, as you should be of yourselves, of our accomplishment in 2012. Let’s do it again in 2013!
