Independence Earns Multiple AGC of DC Washington Contractors Awards

On October 4, the Associated General Contractors of Metropolitan DC honored the region’s top construction companies at the 16th Annual Washington Contractors Awards. The event took place at The Newseum, celebrating leadership, innovation and excellence in construction. Independence Excavating earned Subcontractor of the Year and the Transit/Highway/Bridge Award for the CSX National Gateway Improvement - Point of Rocks/Catoctin Tunnel Project (Projects Under $5 Million). AGC of DC held a separate safety awards breakfast on October 13
to honor companies that exemplify construction safety practices where Independence Excavating earning Best Corporate Safety Program.
