ARTBA Recognizes Independence Excavating for Working Safely

On September 11, 2012, Independence Excavating was recognized as one of the safest companies in America by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). As part of the ARTBA Safety Leadership Workshop and National Convention, held in Memphis, Tennessee, Independence Excavating was recognized as one of the safest companies in 2011 with total man hours between 500,001 ‐ 1,000,000.

Tom Steblinski and I gave a presentation before the ARTBA Safety & Insurance Committee outlining our program. We were able to present our program, and hear what other companies are doing across the country to keep their employees safe.
