Project Profiles

Independence Excavating has played a vital role in some of the largest and most complex projects across the United States. From engineering feats like redirecting a creek beneath an active airport runway to constructing miles of highway during the first phase of Pennsylvania’s Southern Beltway, our team thrives on challenges.

We’ve safely and strategically demolished major landmarks—including the Florida Citrus Bowl and the largest coal-fired power plant in the Western United States—The Navajo Generating Station—as well as power plants dotted across the country.

Our crews have delivered on high-stakes projects under tough conditions—constructing a concrete parking apron to support a new Customs and Border Patrol office, extending runways for the U.S. military’s largest transport aircraft, overcoming inclement weather and compressed schedules, and performing site work for a semiconductor manufacturing expansion in Virginia.
